From 1980 to today

Created more than 40 years ago on the banks of the Ognon river, the campsite "Le Val de Bonnal" has developed over the years to become one of the major players in tourism in Franche-Comté. Today, it welcomes more than 10 different European nationalities, employs nearly 40 people in high season and works mainly with local players.

Reclassification

For the third time in a row, the campsite was reclassified as a 5-star campsite on 26 September 2022. To obtain this distinction, an accredited auditing body is mandated every 5 years by Atout France (the national tourism operator) to control the tourist establishments according to a meticulous classification grid. The classification criteria for campsites set requirements on the level of comfort and quality of service. More than 200 points are checked and divided into three categories : equipment and facilities, customer services, accessibility and sustainable development. With more than 97% of points obtained, the Val de Bonnal is currently the only 5-star campsite in the Doubs department, and one of the few in Franche-Comté.

Quality above all

The campsite has continued to evolve over the last few decades, with the aim of offering its campers top-of-the-range holidays, in harmony with nature. Every year, investments are made in new services and equipment. New accommodation, newly renovated sanitary facilities and the development of fibre optics are just a few examples that aim to improve the holiday experience. Many projects are also underway, such as the redevelopment of the campsite's living area and the creation of a new grocery shop.
